Care

Read this guide to learn how to care for your ARC.X garment. It is important that you read the care instructions carefully.

First wash of your latex garment

Step 1: Prepare half a bucket with warm water and a few drops of detergent. Stir the water to mix in the detergent. Soak the garment for 20 minutes and move it around inside the bucket so the detergent cleans it properly. Don’t worry if the garment becomes a little sticky.
Step 2: Rinse the garment in warm water.
Step 3: Finally, prepare a bucket with warm water and add one capful of Archivo X Shine. (We recommend using only this shine product, as it is the only one we have tested and know works correctly with our latex. We are not responsible for any possible reactions or alterations to the material caused by the use of other products.)
Step 4: Submerge the garment in the bucket and stir it for 3-5 minutes so it hydrates and becomes shiny.
Step 5: Hang the garment to dry on a plastic or wooden hanger, always in the shade, away from heat sources, and separated from other garments, whether latex or not. Also make sure it does not come into contact with walls or other surfaces. Using hangers made of other materials may damage the garment.
Note: Follow these steps before the first use, and then whenever you feel your garment has been used repeatedly.

Steps to wear your latex garment

Step 1: Generously spread talcum powder or Archivo X fluid shine on the inside of the garment. If you use shine product, we also recommend applying it to your skin.
Step 2: Roll up the garment’s limbs as if they were a sock and slowly slide them onto the body. Dress calmly and patiently, enjoying the experience. Avoid pulling the material or applying pressure with your fingers. Pay special attention to nails, rings, and other sharp elements, as they may mark or damage the garment.
Step 3: Once you are wearing the garment, remember to apply Archivo X shine on the outside if you want to give it more shine. (We recommend using only this shine product, as it is the only one we have tested and know works correctly with our latex. We are not responsible for any possible reactions or alterations to the material caused by the use of other products.) Avoid contact with petroleum jelly, oils, or creams.
Step 4: Remember to be patient and careful when taking off the garment.
Note: Follow these steps every time you wear your garment.

Steps to clean your latex garment

Step 1: Wash the garment with warm water and detergent.
Step 2: Leave the garment to dry away from direct sunlight and turn it periodically to ensure even and complete drying. If you notice lighter areas or stains during the process, don’t worry: they are usually caused by residual moisture from washing and will disappear once the garment is completely dry.
Step 3: Once you are sure the garment is completely dry, apply talcum powder or Archivo X Shine.
Step 4: Store the garment in a dry, dark place, away from metals. Do not mix light and dark-colored garments, as they may stain each other. Also, do not mix garments of different colors, regardless of the material they are made from.
Step 5: Use only Archivo X shine. Avoid contact with petroleum jelly, oils, or creams.
Step 6: We recommend leaving it hanging on wooden or plastic hangers, always in the shade, away from walls and heat, to prevent it from getting marked from being folded for too long.
Note: Follow these steps after each use of your garment.

Do not iron - do not machine wash - do not tumble dry - Avoid contact between the garment and metals, solid silicone, and any type of oil.
